Jameson Empire Film Awards Nominations

The Jameson Empire Awards are coming up on the 20th of March. While not on the same level of prestige as the BAFTAs or Oscars, it’s worth noting that Empire is a very well respected publication and these awards are both shortlisted and voted for by the public, readers of Empire magazine, so better reflect cinema goers preferences when the other awards are often accused of being ‘out of touch’. It’s worth noting too how much more diversity is represented as well as the blockbusting crowd-pleasers that usually get overlooked.

I’m not going to work my way through these with the same level of ferocity in which I do the BAFTA and Oscar nominees, however there are a few on the list that I had planned to watch once the big awards were out of the way, and a couple I’d seen but not written reviews of, so I’ll start with those.
